We love weekend projects. It feels so good to be able to complete something in a weekend’s time. You’ve probably guessed that by now since you’ve seen us tackle 3 different organization projects, a simple paint project, a kitchen update and even an entire powder room! Today we are going to kick it up a notch with how to transform a master bedroom over a weekend.
Before taking on any project the planning process is the key to your success. You want to have everything mapped out prior to starting the project. Know where you want your project to go. For a master bedroom concept Pinterest is a great place to start.
Once you’ve got your plan figured out you want to source all your material. It is never a good idea to start a project without your materials already there. Especially when we are talking about transforming a space in a weekend. Turns out you usually can’t get furniture delivered in a week.
Here are some of our favorite suggestions when thinking about transforming your bedroom in a weekend’s time!
Paint is always a good idea. It is the easiest way to completely transform the look, feel and vibe of your space. Here’s the best way to paint a space and find the perfect color you are looking for!
Accent walls are another idea to create an entirely new look. We love experimenting with them. From board and batten walls to textured walls, each gives a totally different feel to the way you previously looked at the room!
Changing the room’s lighting can make a major statement. If you can’t budget that in your bedroom makeover at least change out the lightbulbs. Having the right lightbulbs in your space is truly transforming.
New bedding makes me happy! I love layering in throws and pillows. But ultimately when designing a space I want to create a bed that works for the person making it everyday!
A new rug is a great way to make your room feel more inviting and comfortable. Making sure you have the right size for your room is key. Here’s our guide on how to choose the perfect rug!
Changing out your furniture isn’t always part of a makeover. We’ve found switching out nightstands is a more affordable option when looking to update any furniture piece in a space.
Here’s a few more awesome bedroom transformations we’ve done!
