Bathroom Decor Ideas To Make It Look More Relaxing

One of our favorite spaces to design and remodel is a full bathroom. Other than your bedroom this is the first place you walk into in the morning, and the last place at night. So it deserves the same amount of thought and love as all other spaces of your home when it comes to styling. So today we are diving into our top eight tips and tricks to make your bathroom decor spot on!

1. Vintage Rugs

If you haven’t figured it out yet we are lovers of vintage rugs. There is something special about being able to find the perfect one of a kind piece that fits your space and aesthetic and has lasted more than 20 years. 2. Catchall Tray

Things seem to magically appear in bathrooms, especially in homes where kids reside (we’re totally not speaking from experience on this one…).  That’s why we love a catch all tray. Not only are these functional and purposeful for your everyday use, we love how they look and add characteristics to your space. An added bonus is when you can find one while traveling, or one that has been handmade by a local artisan. Something about it just makes them so much more special. 

3. Art

Bare walls can become sad walls. We love to add art in bathroom spaces to give personality, color and added dimension. Art tends to be a personal purchase but we always want to help you get started with your search. Here are a few good places to start your search! And have fun with it, it’s a bathroom! 

4. Plants

We think every space should have plants. Ideally real ones, but we get it not everyone can keep plants alive. Or maybe you’ve got a space that lacks natural light, because it turns out plants need that to survive. That’s why we found some incredible faux plants to get the job done. Adding plants to your space brings life even if they aren’t truly alive. In a bathroom we feel this is always important. Try adding some eucalyptus to the shower. It is a great way to bring in nature without the upkeep!  

5. Candles

This might be the easiest way to decorate your bathroom…adding your favorite scent! Not only is it good to set the mood for a relaxing bath it helps keep your space smelling fresh and clean! 

6. Soap Dispenser

Simply updating your soap dispenser can make a huge difference in your space. We love looking for dispensers with texture to add depth. An added bonus is in doing so you are helping the earth with less waste. You can refill your dispenser whenever it gets low, and switch it out seasonally! 

7. Baskets

Baskets are a great way to store additional items you might have. They also work as a pretty decoration to add texture and balance to your space. You can use them under vanities, on shelving or even use them for laundry. Here’s a few of our favorite storage baskets! 

8. Wall hooks

Hooks are a great way to add function and purpose to your bathroom while also spicing up those walls! We love to think about where you could actually use hooks to make your bathroom function better for your personal needs. Then the fun part comes in to find those cool looking hooks to give your bathroom more style, here’s some of our favorites!
