Turns out we all need water to live. But getting the right amount of water can be a lot harder for some people than others. Clearly I am writing this post for all my water lovers and want-to-be water lovers out there! Let me help you see how I get in all my water and more throughout my day.
If you’ve never googled how much water you need in a day, don’t sweat it – I have! Research shows there’s no one right answer to this. With so many variables from your health, to how active you are, to where you live, all play a role in how much water you actually need. No one formula is going to work. However, the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recommends men should have about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) while women should have about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters). We have used this as a guideline for our Live More Better – Lifestyle Journey.
Now that we have an idea of the amount of water we need to get in at the minimum we can talk about how you actually achieve that.
There’s something about keeping your water bottle with you all day that just makes it easier to drink all the water. Sharing some bottles I love (and no, I don’t actually own all of them)…just CLOSE to all of them – my team has a few on here too!
I love consuming my water in different ways. Helloooooo – sparkling water or fruit & veggie infused water. Waterloo has quickly become one of my favorites. I also love Liquid Death, it could just be the branding, but I swear this water tastes amazing. Another favorite is Topo Chico!
When I first started keeping track of my water intake, I set daily timers to remind myself. I really do believe this helped keep me on track. I’ve shared other ways to get water and keep track of them here too!
Turns out our bodies do a great job of telling us things, especially when we listen to them. I am sure you have heard this before, but often we think we are hungry when we really just need some more water in our life!
I’d love to know your tricks to get in all the water! Leave me a comment.
Much Love –
