STUDIO ASSISTANT

The Studio Assistant serves an integral role at Clark + Aldine. The role of a unicorn (yes, they exist). The startup-ish environment at the C+A Studio means that everyone is spread across everything, and we need a dynamic personality to keep things organized and dialed in. This role serves as a liaison between the Studio Team (Interior Design and Content) and Leadership Team – one half business operations and the other half creative. If it sounds like a lot…it is.

 

But let’s not get it twisted…we have a shit ton of fun! Good music, better coffee and the best laughs are what you find at the C+A studio in the ever-so-fun and thriving Downtown Plymouth. Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain effective communication amongst the internal team, vendors, partners and clients
  • Provide scheduling support by coordinating team calendars, managing all team meetings and preventing conflicts
  • Manage all general inquiry and new business communications from company website as well as any third party platforms
  • Along with Project Coordinator, co-manage all orders, fulfillment and warehousing
  • Assist in the preparation of all project on-boarding documents to be shared with clients, internal team and all subcontractors
  • Work with the Content Team in the development of content plans that coordinate in line with specific elements of the project timelines
  • Provide assistance with social, digital and content strategy for C+A owned channels

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Must have a flexible and understanding attitude towards daily challenges that arise, because they will arise, and most importantly be solution oriented because there is always a solution
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable on the phone and camera
  • A passion for Interior Design, Furniture Design and visual Content is an absolute must
  • Must be savvy in Apple ecosystem (it is all we use)
  • Proficient in Google Business Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in and understanding of Construction and Interior Design a plus
  • A deep understanding of social media and visual content

PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Project Coordinator serves as the liaison between the Design team and Build team across all client and internal projects. It is essential that our PCs have the ability to always see the big picture through a very small lens in order to capture all of the details. Professionalism, enthusiasm, design savvy and diligence in caring for and accepting only the best results will ensure our PC’s success and development into a larger role within Clark + Aldine.

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain effective communication amongst the internal team, subcontractors, vendors, partners and clients
  • Ensure diligent management of all project schedules, budgets, orders and fulfillment
  • Participate in the development and proofing of all project estimating
  • Assist in the pre-construction process
  • Manage all invoicing, purchase orders and draw requests across all client projects
  • Develop project schedules in coordination with appropriate in-house team members
  • Own the project budget and all elements related to it
  • Work in tandem with the General Contractor to identify, qualify and manage all subcontractors including RFPs, bid management, evaluation, legal compliance, and project close-out
  • Prepare project on-boarding documents to be shared with clients, internal team and all subcontractors
  • Review and evaluate all shop drawings and design documentation from vendors for windows, cabinets, lighting and other material elements as needed
  • Work closely with internal workshop team on all shop drawings
  • Assist the Content Team in development of content plans that coordinate in line with specific elements of the project timelines
  • Conduct post-construction analysis including completion time, budget, vendor relations, subcontractor quality and client satisfaction

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Must have a flexible and understanding attitude towards daily challenges that arise, because they will arise, and most importantly be solution oriented because there is always a solution
  • Willingness to spend time on job sites as needed throughout the design and construction process
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable on the phone – we make a lot of calls
  • A passion for Interior Design, Furniture Design and visual Content
  • Must be savvy in Apple ecosystem (it is all we use)
  • Proficient in Google Business Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with web-based software such as Asana, Materio, Buildertrend a plus
  • Experience in and understanding of Construction and Interior Design
