It’s hard to believe this is the same room! I love how you used the space. And I love the doggie door! Great job!
Emy,
Thank you so much! I absolutely love how this space literally looks nothing like it did before and is completely functional.
It is so beautiful yet so functional! I can’t believe it is the same space! I especially love how you styled the mudroom area!
Mary,
Thank you so much. When I was getting the post ready yesterday I was seriously in shock from what the space look to look like. It’s wild how you forget where you started.
What an incredible transformation. It’s so bright and beautiful now, it’s hard to believe that’s the same space! So functional and organized as well. Great job!
Thank you Tash! These are all the things we were looking for when design and space planning this room.
Absolutely beautiful! I love the coat area and the counter over the washer and dryer is lovely! Great job!
Kristen,
Thank you so much! We really wanted to make every inch of this space functional!
Exactly what you want in a mud room/laundry room – bright, clean, and so well organized! I’m sure this space is going to make life a lot nicer for your whole family
Lindsey,
You’ve totally got the right idea. This space is doing all those things for our clients. They are loving it. Now to just make this reality happen in our own home!
Hi!
Can you please tell me the color/name of the flooring you did and where you got it from? I couldn’t find it on this page, but maybe I missed it!
Thanks 🙂
Hey Rachel,
We totally left that out! I will add it in now. The color is Carbon by Minwax.
I love your entry way space. Do you know how big that “room” with your bench/shoe and coat storage is? I love that this is just big enough for all those cubbies but not a waste of unnecessary space in the middle. Thanks!
The room is about a 10×8 room overall. That area with the mudroom itself is smaller about 8×6. We typically build out each mudroom to spec for the room we are working with. If we have bins we are working with we use the bins to guide us for the space. If we are creating drawers or open shelving we use the space the room allows for. Hopes this helps.
Thanks!
Danielle
Absolutely beautiful! What type of wood and stain did you use for your laundry room counter?
We used red oak and the stain is natural. This links you to our full build out of the space!
This is exactly what I am looking to put in our mudroom…how deep is the bench part of the lockers?
Also can you tell me what the distance is from the floor to the top of the bench?
The distance from the floor to the top of the bench is 18″
This space is perfect! Can you share the measurements for both walls that have your shoe bench? And did you build the Cubby’s?
We built the entire space out. You can check out how we made it here for the mudroom and here for the laundry room
The approximate size of the space is 8ft x 8ft. You can check out a step by step process including all materials and tools used here: https://www.clarkandaldine.com/building-a-functional-mudroom-space/
Hi I am wondering if the wire decorative baskets in the mudroom cubbies scratch up the white paint? I am looking for baskets for my new cubbies and don’t want something that is going to scratch up the paint since they will probably be taken down quite often.
Thanks!
Hey Molly,
We haven’t notice scratching. Although, we did start by adding felt pads on the bottom, it is a little challenging to keep the on with just the wire.
Do you guys have a step by step plan for the mudroom? I’d really love to it. Yalls progress is phenomenal!!!
Did you paint the shiplap and trim around the cubbies the Origami White color or is that the High Reflective White?
The mudroom itself is Highly Reflective White, the walls and ceiling is Origami!

Danielle,
You guys combined both function and beauty in a wonderful way! Even I would like doing laundry if my space looked this good. Cheers to both of you!!
Libbie,
Thank you so much! That was my ultimate goal with this space. I want to do laundry there too…do you think it would be weird if I should up at my clients house with laundry
