Not sure how we’re already at week 5 of our master bedroom makeover that we have been doing as a part of the one room challenge! This week has been nothing short of surprises. But before we get into that make sure you are up to date.
week 1 | week 2 | week 3 | week 4
I can finally say I am starting to see our vision come together. What a difference paint, fabric, art & furniture can do to a room. ? Ok I know that’s basically the whole room but I just love seeing all of our choices come in daily!

Michael has been a painting machine. Thank you again Sherwin Williams! We now have black closet doors, white molding and refurbished night stands with fresh paint! Michael painted the hardware on our night stand and finished off the nightstands with a polyurethane. We double coated the top of the nightstands for extra protection?
Our window seat is coming together too. We have partnered with Kravet’s for the window seat fabrics and Robert Allen for our bedding fabric and I am obsessing with how all the patterns are really making both areas pop! My mom and our good friend Mickey have been amazing and helped make all the pillows and the blanket for our bed. Talk about a dream team of seamstresses! Thank you ladies? We would never have pulled this off without you two! I just love how they turned out and yes I was standing over the top trying to take in all the pointers I could. ???
Both pieces of art we’ll be installing are in and I am dying over them? We have partnered with Martha from Haven and she has been wonderful to work with. The tiles are from a building in Chicago ? how could we not fall in love with them?!? We also got our chandelier!!! We had a little hiccup with delivery and our original choice just isn’t going to make it in time, but thank goodness Haven has so many options in-store to work with. We fell in love with a metal chandelier that had all the right vibes but lacked in the color we wanted. So, we are customizing that too! Gotta love a good spray paint. Michael is a huge fan of Rust-Oleum. Stay tuned to see what this beauty looks like once we are finished!
Our friends Jen and Rob over at 28th and Chairs made us this ? bench for in front of our bed. I cannot wait to actually see it placed. Rob made it extra deep for us to house baskets or bins underneath…you’d think he knew we had small children who bring toys ? ? t✈ ? with them everywhere they go! The wood on our bench is from reclaimed wood and I love all the character it brings with it. I am of course planning to keep pillows on this beautiful bench too! So we when I found these two from tonic living I knew I just had to have them.
It’s seriously hard to believe that next week we are going to be doing the BIG revel…??? Stay tuned, I promise it is worth the wait. You definitely aren’t going to want to miss this one. I really have never been so excited to see one room come together. And as always I promise to keep you updated over on instagram and facebook so make sure to check me out there for sneak peeks until the full reveal next week!
much love-
danielle
