Everyone needs a routine, and with a routine comes a little bit of “me” time. You absolutely have to schedule time to take care of yourself, to feed your brain and to nourish your soul. In these trying times there it is even more important that we all be cognizant of the stress and anxiety we build up inside every day and make small changes in our routine to care for ourselves. You can no longer say you don’t have the time to workout or go to the gym! Well, perhaps you can’t go to the gym right now. But you do have the time to move your body for 30 minutes a day. That is all it takes. You will work up a sweat quick and at the end of your workout you will feel exhausted, energized and a sense of accomplishment all at the same time.
YouTube has a ton of free workouts available. And if you can’t find one you dig, check out the fitness experts on Instagram…there are a ton of great people out there creating at home workouts to make everyone’s day a little brighter.
You can still get outside for a hard walk or run during this lock down. Whether you plan to run a 5k, 10k, half marathon or nothing at all it is still totally cool to train as if you were. So lace up the running shoes and hit the pavement with this training guide.
