Before you write, a note on fit.

We take on a small number of projects each year so that each one gets both of us. Our work tends to suit families who are staying in their home for the long term, who care how something is built as much as how it looks, and who would rather do it once and do it properly.

The budget question below is not a filter we use to screen you out. It is how we avoid wasting your time — yours and ours — on a conversation that was never going to work. Answer it honestly, including “not sure yet,” and we will tell you plainly in the first call whether we are the right team.

If we are not, we will point you toward someone good. That happens often and we are glad to do it.
